Move Completed Spring Arriving...
Zip son of full Accoyo White Color Champion!
I'm sitting at the dining table today, looking out the slider and watching the alpaca graze in the new pasture. They are all enjoying the sunshine today. The cria are growing and we will be weaning soon. Shearing is taking place next month and I'm excited about all the wonderful fiber I'll have available for purchase.
Rick and I stretched no climb fencing back in November and December giving us several pastures for rotational grazing. The boys have a huge 3 sided shelter and the girls and cria share the barn. We now have the ability to expand if the need arises.
Our move was completed back in January with the help of some great friends. We lost our cargo van and trailer during a roll over accident. Luckily injuries were minor, animals had already been moved, and many friends came forward and finished up the move for us. We went without internet service until this past week while I concentrated on recovery from my injuries. Can't tell you how much I missed being "online".
Over the next few weeks we'll be updating our photos and listing more of the alpaca. What a great time to schedule a visit! We are so excited about the cria out in the pasture. The breedings for this generation were our decisions and it really looks like we hit the jackpot.
The farm store should be open for business within the next couple of months. Classes are also anticipated to start at that time. New products are being planned and I can't wait for you to see what I'm weaving....
